For most of us, jewellery is a truly priceless possession. Whether your wedding ring has a $1,000 price tag or $10,000 - it’s the love and affection that we pour into that jewellery that makes it invaluable.
So when it comes to protecting these sentimental items from loss, theft or damage, skimping on insurance is a recipe for disaster. However, many policies aim to provide coverage solely for the more expensive jewellery, while overlooking less expensive items.
At Q Report, we believe that the actual price of your jewellery shouldn’t matter when it comes to protecting what you love most. To cater for this, we have introduced a jewellery insurance policy for your less expensive, but equally valuable items—introducing Q Pocket.
So, what is Q Pocket?
Should something happen to your jewellery, it’s unwise to use your home insurance to make a claim. You’ll more than likely have to pay a meaty excess and future premium increases, so it is always advised to have a standalone jewellery insurance policy instead.
Q Pocket is our specialist policy to help cover the less expensive, but still sentimentally valuable, jewellery items. Our primary policy—the Q Classic Policy—is designed to insure jewellery valued over $5,000. Although our primary policy is comprehensive, it’s not quite the right fit for some pieces.
To fix that, we introduced Q Pocket. This new policy insures any of your jewellery items between the value of $1,000 to $5,000. Your jewellery might not cost tens of thousands of dollars, but if you care about it, then it’s always worth protecting.
What does this policy cover?
Q Pocket is a comprehensive policy for your less expensive jewellery and covers any loss, theft or damage. If you make a claim through this policy, excesses are set at $100 and we will pay the rest. This coverage also guarantees you full, worldwide coverage—so if something goes wrong while you’re on holiday, you’re still covered. Q Pocket also features a number of great benefits that are featured in our standard policy; such as annual revaluation of your jewellery at no charge
To get an accurate insurance quote, please provide the amount from your purchase receipt.

Unlike their battery-powered quartz counterparts, luxury watches have a beating heart – the mechanical movement. First created in the 14th century, large, weight-driven tower clocks with verge escapements and foliot balances marked the dawn of mechanical timekeeping.
Today, the core concept of mechanical movements remains unchanged from its original conception. It involves an intricate arrangement of gears, springs, and an escapement powered by a wound mainspring. This precision engineering allows for smooth operation and precise timekeeping.
Manual watch movements require the wearer to wind the crown periodically. Automatic watch movements, on the other hand, utilise the wearer's movements to keep the mainspring wound, offering a convenient everyday solution.
The Patek Philippe Calatrava, with its ultra-thin manual movement, exemplifies the elegance of traditional watchmaking. On the other hand, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual, with its self-winding mechanism epitomises practicality and durability.
Whether manual or automatic, a mechanical movement imbues a luxury watch with a soul, a testament to human ingenuity and a treasured heirloom for generations to come
Luxury watches often boast 'complications,' intricate mechanisms that add layers of sophistication, style and utility. Here, we explore some of the most fascinating complications created by the best luxury watch brands.

Diamond shapes can vary in price due to popularity and demand. Round brilliants, for example, tend to be more expensive than other shapes due to their high demand. If budget is a concern, consider alternative shapes or prioritise other aspects, such as cut quality, over the shape itself.
